Ford Co-Pilot360: Driver Safety Tech for 2019

Ford is debuting a new suite of driver-assist technologies for 2019. The suite is called Ford Co-Pilot360, and we here at Lamarque Ford in Kenner, LA are stoked about every part of it. Ford intends for the suite to be standard on 90 percent of new models by the end of 2019. Here are two technologies from the suite that you can look forward to.

Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB)

Pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection are the prerequisites to AEB. When the vehicle detects other cars or pedestrians crossing in front of it, it emits alert sounds and warning flashes. If the driver fails to respond in time to the alert sounds and warning flashes, AEB stops the car immediately.

Blind Spot Information System (BLIS)

BLIS works by radar, sensing vehicles that veer into your blind spot on the road and alerting you with a light in your side-view mirror. This lets you merge and change lanes in a safe, timely manner. BLIS also senses vehicles and pedestrians who cross behind you as you pull out of a parking spot.
