One of America’s top exporters is officially heading to China this season. Ford recently announced its plans to ship the new 2017 F-150 Raptor over to China as soon as this week. With its new second-generation model, the F-150 Raptor will be the first of U.S.-built F-Series truck to be exported to China.


The new F-150 Raptor model includes a military-grade, high-strength, aluminum alloy cab as well as an exclusive high-output version of the 3.5-litre EcoBoost engine, plus a Ford-built 10-speed automatic transmission and advanced six-mode Terrain Management System. This vehicle joins more than twelve new Ford vehicles expected to premiere by 2020 including the Ford GT, Focus RS, Shelby GT350 and Shelby GT350R.

 

Ford executives have high expectations of new fans in China having already received high reception at auto shows around the area. The version of the F-150 Raptor being made for the Chinese market will likely include changes such as small roof lights as regulated by the nation. Currently, the F-150 Raptor is constructed in Dearborn Truck Plant in North America.
