Inside, the new 2017 Fusion Platinum, with its stitched dash and premium leather seats with contrast piping, is sumptuous enough to satisfy entry-level luxury sedan shoppers. Other upgrades this year for the rest of the lineup include a rotary shifter and electronic parking brake. However, Ford has largely kept the roomy 5-passenger interior intact. It's roomy enough for four adults, three kids can fit in back, and its big trunk is spacious. Hybrid models have a smaller trunk owing to the battery, but even they have a pass-through to the rear seats for longer items.
