Ford To Fund Green Documentaries

The next time you're sitting at the local art house theater, don't be surprised if a documentary film comes on the screen with "produced by Ford Motor Co." in its credits. As part of Ford's ongoing Eco-friendly initiative, the auto maker will fund / produce documentary films about 'green' topics.

You gotta love Ford, not only do they make fuel efficient versions like the Ford Focus for 2012, but they even help fund art programs!

The company is joining forces with SHFT.com. This website, developed by actor Adrian Grenier of HBO's Entourage fame, goes along with producer Peter Glatzer, exploring the promotion of green, 'eco-consciousness' to young consumers.

"SHFT.com celebrates businesses where great design, sustainability and innovation meet, which is why we are so excited to be forging this relationship with Ford," said Grenier. The documentaries look at how those passionate about the environment are shaping sustainable businesses.1

Ford has funded a series of short films, helping to push the idea of sustainability, and incorporates pop culture films, music and artistic design. SHFT.com will also promote Ford at film festivals, as well as other public events.
